NICKY SUMMER INTERIORS

Nicky Summer is an interior designer and lifestyle entrepreneur who has been operating in the luxury sector for over 30 years. A former 007 actress and advertising model for brands such as Lancôme Paris, L’Oréal Paris, and royal jeweller Mappin & Webb, Nicky used her extensive global contact list to launch an events company organising exclusive events on behalf of international brands including Alain Ducasse, the YPO, Cartier, Northacre plc, Hamptons International, the British Red Cross, Valentino, and Dolce & Gabbana. This evolved through a home accessories product range to her opening an interiors and event styling boutique in South Kensington, styling homes, then fully decorating, designing, and refurbishing them.

Nicky’s list of residential projects includes over fifty properties within central London, several apartments within the Sir Norman Roger’s designed Albion Riverside (above and below), a villa in the south of France with extensive gardens and pool area, a penthouse apartment in San Francisco, a ski lodge in Aspen, a sailing yacht in the Med., all of which were produced on behalf of UHNWI, VIPs and/or their representatives.

Nicky’s list of residential projects includes many properties within the Grosvenor Estate in London, a villa in the south of France with extensive gardens and pool area, a penthouse apartment in San Francisco, a ski lodge in Aspen, and a sailing yacht in the Med.

Nicky describes her style as ‘relaxed elegance’ and draws inspiration from timeless brands such as Ralph Lauren Home, which has influenced many of her projects, including all properties and communal area within 130 Park Lane in Mayfair, London.

For the project at 130 Park Lane, all four apartments – two of which were duplexes – and the entrance area were furnished in neutral colours that appeal to the clients of Nicky Summer Interiors. The penthouse duplex (above) was taken by a high profile international investment banker, the other (below) by the principal director of the Harry Potter movies.

Depending on the nature of the property and the client, Nicky Summer Interiors tailors the style accordingly. We have been known to dress our commercial residential projects with fine art by Picasso, Modigliani, and Matisse, either loaned or purchased from galleries. We also attend auctions and install antiques, such as the gold and pink onyx carriage clock in the image above. Styling and accessorising make a house feel like a home.

Nicky Summer has very specific knowledge of palace and boutique luxury hotel design and uses these high-quality finishes as the benchmark for her own work. Nicky Summer Interiors undertakes residential projects only for property developers, hoteliers, and a very specific group of UHNWI, many of whom come from the upper echelons of business, industry, investment banking, overseas royalty, and Hollywood. Budgets reflect the premium areas in which she works, where a very high-quality finish is standard. A list of Nicky’s projects can be viewed in the PROJECTS area of this site.

Projects by NICKY SUMMER INTERIORS have been featured in several publications, including the cover and inside story of The San Francisco Chronicle, TATLER, The Mail on Sunday, The Evening Standard, London Property News, YOU Magazine, and the Financial Times’ ‘How To Spend It’ supplement. The company does not actively seek out press features, awards, or collaborations, as project referrals are generally conveyed through the Nicky Summer Interiors network and via word of mouth.
